STARK Group has strengthened its presence in the North East of England with the opening of a new purpose-built Jewson branch in Alnwick.

The new branch replaces Jewson’s previous Alnwick location and forms part of STARK Group’s ongoing investment in its UK branch network.

The development is part of the Group’s strategy to consolidate smaller locations into larger, more efficient branches that are better positioned to serve local customers.

Designed around the needs of local builders and tradespeople, the new Alnwick branch brings together a wider product range, specialist expertise and modern facilities under one roof. The aim is to provide customers with easier access to the materials, services and support they need for their day-to-day work.

The opening comes as STARK Group continues to invest in its UK operations despite challenging market conditions, with a focus on strengthening its local presence while improving efficiency across its branch network.

Søren P. Olesen, Group CEO of STARK Group, said: “Across our markets, we continuously invest in strengthening our customer offering through a modern and efficient branch network. In some locations, this means replacing older branches with larger, purpose-built branches that allow us to offer a broader product range and more efficient logistics solutions.

“Alnwick is a good example of how we are investing close to our customers while strengthening our long-term market position.”

The Alnwick investment forms part of STARK Group’s wider programme to strengthen its commercial offering and improve operational efficiency.

Across its UK and German operations, the Group is also developing product ranges and distribution networks, drawing on experience and best practices from its Nordic markets.
