Roofbase to open tenth branch in Sheffield as it expands into the North

The independent roofing merchant will open at Atlas Way on 5 January 2027, with more northern branches planned for next year.

Independent roofing merchant Roofbase is to open a new branch in Sheffield on 5 January 2027, taking its network to ten sites and marking the start of its expansion into the North.

The branch will be at 22 Atlas Way and will supply local roofers, builders and contractors with products for pitched and flat roofing projects. Roofbase plans to recruit from the local area and said it wants to build a team that understands Sheffield’s roofing trade.

Founded in 2017, Roofbase supplies roofing materials from established brands. Its teams have backgrounds on both the contractor and merchant sides of the industry.

Tom Sadler, Commercial Manager North, will oversee the Sheffield branch and lead the development of the northern network. He has more than 20 years of experience in roofing and builders’ merchanting. Further openings are planned for 2027.

Managing Director Steve Lloyd said reaching ten branches is an “exciting milestone” for the business. He added that Roofbase wants to bring its offer to more trade customers across the region while keeping the personal service of an independent merchant.

Roofbase will announce further details on the local team, facilities and opening activities in the coming months.
